Article: Opening STPLN on Sydsvenskan
We finally opened the doors of STPLN for the public. We had around 350 visitors, all from people interested in culture wanting to try out the activities we were offering, to entrepreneurs presenting their ideas. We even got the visit of an 80 year-old man who used to work there, when the building was part of Kockums.
On this picture the photographer tried to reproduce an older one when they used to build boats on the roof of our building!! it was a nice article… and made the first page on Malmö’s section in Sydsvenskan.
Journal: Our Art Spectators
A seminar on the changing audience conditions and its consequences. 19-20 May, 2009.
In this seminar, organized by KOP- Network for art and audience questions we got to share scenario with important people form the art environment such as Lars Nittve from Moderna Muséet, Peter Gorschlüter from Tate Liverpool and Jacob Fabricius from Konsthallen in Malmo. We were invited to talk about the model we work with at Stapelbädden. Some of the important points of our presentation were:
* We don’t believe there are “creative and not creative people” we think everyone can be creative if they get the right opportunity to show it.
*New exchange economy.
* Stapelbädden is not for everyone, but everyone is welcome!
